Lyrical Lounge Concert Series presented by WHRV-FM and LAVA Presents

NORFOLK, Va. (March 22, 2019) – WHRV-FM and LAVA Presents are excited to announce the first “Lyrical Lounge” concert hosted by Jonah Grinkewitz and featuring performances by Skye Zentz, Nan Macmillan and Olivia Dyer on Thursday April 25, 2019.

This live music event will be held at Toast in Norfolk located at 2406 Colonial Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m. There will be limited seating at the event and tickets are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. The “Lyrical Lounge” concert series will feature intimate performances from local and regional songwriters with a focus on storytelling, lyrics and audience connection. It will be hosted by Lyrical podcast producer and creator Jonah Grinkewitz and songwriter and educator Skye Zentz.

The first “Lyrical Lounge” will feature performances by Skye Zentz, Nan Macmillan and Olivia Dyer. Nan Macmillan is a songwriter from Boston, Mass. and was the winner of the first WHRV and Local Cheers “Lyrical Singer Songwriter Contest” which took place in February, 2019. Olivia Dyer is a songwriter and visual artist currently living in Norfolk, VA.

Skye Zentz is an award-winning local songwriter, producer and educator, known for her contributions to the Hampton Roads music scene over the last decade.

Lyrical with Jonah Grinkewitz goes behind the lyrics to showcase talented songwriters in Hampton Roads and beyond. The hour-long musical conversation features live performances, recorded music and more.
